A classic-modern Rome apartment

Open the windows, look out over Rome, and you cannot help being struck by the majesty and fascination of the Eternal City. This fact alone increased the challenge presented by the renovation of this apartment on Rome's Oppian Hill.

Description

While insisting on an environment that respects the city they love, the owners also wanted a décor that told their own stories and reflected their own personalities. This objective was achieved by creating a sense of continuity between the living, dining and kitchen areas, all of which are spanned by a low bench that runs under the windows and provides a common thread uniting all the rooms. Uncluttered furnishings and carefully selected works of art add to the apartment's charm. The resin cement surrounds in shades of Greige added to the original agglomerate floors give a distinctly contemporary touch to this otherwise essentially classic environment.
