Natural contrasts
A villa with huge windows opening outwards, to embrace the gentle terraces of Tuscan olive groves surrounding it.
Description
The highly tactile design, together with a geometric construction of the spaces, it also brings the surrounding nature inside. The alternating natural and synthetic materials in the floors and walls, as well as the strong colour contrasts, lends the rooms a strong individuality, which is emphasised by the light filtering through, creating surprising effects and nuances. Microresina, used to cover walls and furnishings, and Cementoresina, for some of the flooring, bring out the contrasts in the colours and materials. In the end, though, they find a perfect symbiosis, where even the decorative furnishings of the second half of the last century fit into a highly contemporary context.
