A bright attic on the rooftops of Ivrea
How do you go about refurbishing a particularly bright attic? In the case of this attic in Ivrea, with a view that extends to the Alps, the decision was made to exploit natural light by limiting the space assigned to the entrance hall and maximising that of the living area.
Description
The various rooms have been given a character of their own by a clever choice of colour. The kitchen, which opens on to the lounge but is distinct from it, stands out for the continuity between walls and floor in KK 123, a particularly striking shade of Neutral Pink. The same colour reappears in the living area where it serves to break up the otherwise dominant warm white of Greige KK 75, which provides a common thread between the interior spaces. In the bathrooms, two inserts in shades of Rose Pink and Navy Blue add an elegant touch of discontinuity.
