A distinctive green line
This small Milanese apartment overlooking a tranquil green courtyard achieves a unique balance between powerful, early 20th century elements and a new, modern look. Refurbishing work left untouched two iconic elements of original décor: the bedroom's herringbone wood block flooring and the kitchen's red and black encaustic tiles.
Description
The two areas are interconnected by a KK 52 resin cement floor in a distinctive woodland green from the Natural Green colour palette. This highly characteristic, single-colour floor provides an original key to interpreting the project as a whole. The uniform texture of the resin cement and the decisive shade of green combine to ensure continuity with the other architectural elements, including the beautiful old fireplace surround and the white painted double swing doors.
