A precious casing
A neutral shell, ready to be filled with furnishings and objects that tell the story of a family. With this goal in mind, Lucrezia Calvi, a young architect from Milan, reimagined a 1950s apartment in the Porta Romana area of Milan.
Description
The foundation for designing the home’s personality is the flooring, where light-colored resin has replaced the carpeting. On this canvas, contemporary elements, antique pieces, and family artworks have been arranged, including a unique solution that incorporates the kitchen’s functional area. "I always start with the choice of materials, and then I structure everything else. For me, it’s important to create a neutral shell for the client, where they can add their objects and what best represents them," explains the architect. Cementoresina by Kerakoll, selected in the KK 62 shade from the Warm Grey palette, adds a contemporary touch to the space without sacrificing warmth.
