Love at first sight
A first life as a kindergarten, a second as a family home.
Description
In the transition between these two dimensions lies the work of the architectural firm founded by Elena Piulats, a Spanish designer transplanted to Rome. Her choice to maintain the original cut and to enhance the dialogue with the surrounding garden gives a special light to the interiors. The floors played a key role in the search for a modern touch that could fit harmoniously into the pre-existing structure, creating a timeless atmosphere. The discovery of Color Collection's Wood+Color surface was a thunderbolt: the handcrafted oak parquet allowed the architect to personalize each room, carefully choosing the laying direction and inserting a frame that could respect the presence of the furnishings. The KK 79 shade creates the perfect match with the white of the walls and the dusty gray of the doors and frames.
