A colorful personality
A professional studio passed down through generations, where history and modernity meet.
Description
This dialogue between the old and the new serves as the guiding thread of the project, set within a historic building in Palermo and centered on enhancing pre-existing elements such as the colorful cement tiles on the floors, the large paneled swing doors, and the vaulted ceilings adorned with plaster moldings. The concept was to define the spaces with custom-made furnishings crafted from materials typical of construction, such as reinforced concrete—simulated by Grigio Fossena stone—steel, green marble, and natural wood in its raw finishes. The meeting room features a large steel table positioned at the center of the room, reminiscent of the shape of an IPE beam. In the adjacent room, a blue Orsogril bookcase serves as the backdrop for a large desk composed of compact gray stone volumes topped with a transparent glass slab. The choice of colors was influenced by the vibrant flooring, which varies from room to room, inspiring the selection of different tones for the ceilings and walls in each space.
