Where Liguria runs wild
Between mountains and the sea, in a part of Liguria with a raw, untouched charm, architect Clara Bona has restored the Moorish structure of a long-abandoned ruin.
Description
At the owners’ request, she transformed it into a buen retiro—a peaceful retreat with bright interiors and soft tones that evoke a sense of conviviality starting from the outdoor spaces. On the ground floor, a spacious living area flows seamlessly into the patio, featuring a sand-toned Kerakoll parquet floor in shade KK 79 that enhances the surrounding design elements. The soft hues of the Greige palette create a relaxed atmosphere, unfolding across different surfaces throughout the home. First, Cementoresina Floor is used for the staircase leading to the upper floor and for the terrace, which offers sweeping views all the way to the sea. Then, Patina is applied to the bathroom walls, creating a seamless effect with the Invisibile wooden skirting board in the same tone.
